Almost 1.1 million Portuguese professionals carried out their work activities from home, using technological tools, during the last quarter of 2024.
This figure reflects the growing use of teleworking, a practice that has been gaining relevance in the national labor market. The possibility of working remotely continues to demonstrate its importance, both in adapting to the needs of workers and in meeting the demands of companies.
Compared to the previous quarter, there was a 7% increase in the number of people working remotely. This growth underlines the trend of transformation in work dynamics, driven by digitalization and the demand for greater professional flexibility.
Teleworking not only boosts efficiency but also promotes work-life balance, consolidating itself as an increasingly valued alternative in Portugal.
