A study conducted by the platform “Moving to Spain” reveals that Portugal ranks 5th in a ranking that lists the best countries for digital nomads.
With a score of 6.70, Portugal is behind Norway (7.79 points), Germany (7.22 points), Hungary (7.10 points), Spain (6.76 points), but ahead of destinations such as Romania (6.14 points), Denmark (5.68 points), Finland (5.57 points) or Italy (5.34 points).
Portugal is identified as a country that “scores consistently well” in the categories analyzed. The study reveals that it is one of the safest countries on the list, with good internet and affordable cost of living. In addition, Portugal is renowned for its fantastic climate, with more than 300 days of sunshine a year, and for the warm welcome to expatriates living in Portugal.
A crucial factor for digital nomads, when it comes to internet speed, Portugal ranks 6th, while in housing costs, it drops to 8th place.
